In June 2016, a Bulgarian delegation from the Corporation of Technology and Innovation JSC visited India to sign a franchise contract with the Indian Institute of Hardware Technology Bangalore. This franchise is in the field of educational activities, and it also entitles the institute to be represented in Bulgaria. Several meetings were held during the visit, which laid the foundations for future cooperation between Bulgarian and Indian companies.
Several months later, on 27.01.2017 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, a Constituent Assembly was set up to create the Bulgarian-Indian Technology Forum Foundation “Mahatma Gandhi”. Founding members of the Foundation are 7 legal entities and 26 individuals.
By Decision No.109 of 30.03.2017 the Plovdiv Regional Court entered in the Register of Non-Profit Legal Entities the newly established Foundation.
Established Bulgarian-Indian Technology Forum “Mahatma Gandhi” “will help to strengthen relations and expand cooperation between Bulgaria and India in fulfillment of the mission and goals set in its Statute.
